Hippie (n). – flower child, Bohemian, beatnik, long-hair, free spirit, nonconformist, dropout
Well, aside from the dropout part I’d say ‘hippie’ is a pretty accurate description of me. I’ve never been the type to conform to any one particular style or thing. I feel as though I’m ever-evolving.
Traveling has been the biggest contributor to my personal metamorphose. I’ve never been more humbled than when I backpacked through Thailand. My fiancé, Richie, and I trekked through the northern jungle of Chang Mai and spent the night in a bamboo hut with locals; singing, eating, drinking and laughing into the night…but that story is for another time. Throwback travel post perhaps?
What I was trying to say, is that I don’t care if anything about this is taboo! This ensemble makes me feel like I can kick ass and curtsy. I love wild patterns and metallics like these! If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you know I love wearing black, too. It’s timeless. I guess it speaks to my inner bohemian. But what can I say…tomorrow might be different. As for today, I’m in love & I want more of it. xx

August 28, 2014 at 19:35I absolutely love vintage and thrift shopping. Especially in LA. You never know what people are willing to give up and I’ve always thought of it as more of a treasure hunt. Growing up I would wake up early every Saturday morning and go garage-sailing with my grandparents so I guess it’s also a little nostalgic for me. I’ll have to check out the one you mentioned. 🙂
