Ever find yourself wondering what to do on a casual Saturday afternoon in Los Angeles or feel the need for a spontaneous day trip? I found this little gem tucked away in Malibu just across from the beach. You may have driven past it several times on the PCH without notice but the giant sized table and chairs out front are kind of hard to miss.
Rosenthal is the spot to be, especially on weekends, offering live music, wine by the bottle or glass, a gourmet food truck and a buzzing atmosphere boasting fresh ocean air. The vibe is laid back but has a great energy. I love how open they are to bringing outside food. Most guests bring picnic baskets of goodies to indulge in but I’m a big fan of the Azteca food truck that sets up shop on the property. Table space was limited but that didn’t stop us from claiming a small patch of grass and soaking up the sun with a chilled bottle of rosé. I even made friends with a sweet service dog named Silvia that helps deaf children when not lounging at the wine estate. Food, music, sun and furry friends…Not a bad way to kick off the first day of summer.
