Shooting this editorial for Elléments Magazine with Snaps Studio and makeup artist Nimai Marsden was such a fun and artistic day.  I crave the opportunities to work with other like-minded, imaginative people who are just as enthusiastic as I am.  It’s a breath of fresh air to be able to think outside the box and distance myself from the catalog routine for just a moment.

The idea was to incorporate honey, the nectar of the gods, with glam makeup.  Nimai used soft browns, gold, coral and reds mostly from MAC cosmetics to create these stunning images.  She also used both top and bottom lashes to create a more dramatic look.

It’s a good thing I like honey because I ingested more than I would’ve liked in order to experiment with some more outrageous shots (not pictured below).  By the end of the day I was covered in honey -literally- from head to toe.  I’m pretty sure this was the most delicious–and moisturizing photo shoot I’d ever done…thank goodness it wasn’t set in the woods!  😉
